STARKON’s client requested that we replace all 16 brake discs and brake pads of the several STS post Panamax cranes gantry drives. We had to perform this service during the COVID-19 outbreak and all the restrictions that came with the pandemic. The situation with the pandemic and restrictions certainly provided some challenges for us.
As we already have field experience with industrial brake maintenance, we could change the work method as per the local regulations around the COVID19 outbreak.
STARKON exchanged all brake discs and aligned all the motors within the time given. We also managed to perform the work under the strict regulations concerning the additional COVID-19 safety precautions.
