Alseas Pioneering Spirit (formerly Pieter Schelte)

It is the largest construction vessel ever built. Inspired by the offshore heavy lifting pioneer Pieter Schelte Heerema (1908–81) and designed completely in-house by Alseas, the vessel is designed for the single-lift installation and removal of large oil and gas platforms and the installation of record-weight pipelines.
ZPMC netherlands service department provided the project assistance onboard the Pioneering spririt located near our Rotterdam based office at the Maasvlakte 2.
One 50 tons overhead crane, four 100 tons overhead cranes, one 50 tons gantry crane, one 100 tons gantry crane, three 50 tons pipe transfer cranes and one 600 tons special purpose crane.
