STARKON’s client requested that we solve a height difference in several rail joints at the new lock gates in IJmuiden. The challenge again was time. We only had two days to prepare and perform the job after the first contact.
STARKON is used to short time frames since we also have our accident recovery repair service. Therefore, fast shifting was not new to STARKON. We prepared and sent an experienced team with the right machines and tools to them.
STARKON’s team, together with “De Wiel Services”, managed to complete the job on time. So, the construction project for this final phase regarding the world’s largest sea lock gates could continue, and it will open for shipping in early 2022.
